I now know who the diehards are. They all showed up on Sunday. All 14 of us! Once the rain stopped at 10:30 we started setup and the clouds were gone by the time the shooting started at 12:30. You should have been there. The stages worked well, so I will reuse them in August and just insert a different classifier.

We had 14 shooters and 0 reshoots for a total of 14 guns.

We had one new shooter this month: John Capitoni.

We had one DNF this month because the time was not recorded. Please make sure that you check your scoresheet and verify the hits add up and the time is recorded.

USPSA has instituted a new policy. If you let your membership lapse for more than 60 days, you will lose your classification. That means we could see a few more U's on the scoresheets. If you want to keep your classification, please keep your membership current. Remember, if you sign up for (or renew) a USPSA membership at the match, you can shoot the match for free (that's like getting your USPSA membership for $25). For the new members, when you receive your first issue of Front Sight, use the PIN on the cover to sign up to receive e-mail notification when results are posted to the USPSA Local and Major Match results page. Our results are always posted to the USPSA Local Match Results first. It takes a little while to massage the HTML pages that come out of EzWinScore.

We also have Crooked Creek Conservation Club applications. Ask Bill, Ed or myself for one if you are interested in joining. We hold a pistol practice on Wednesday evening starting about 4:00 PM for members.

I still have Muff Sweats for sale. 1 pair is $14 and two or more are $13 each. See Atto at registration if you would like a pair or two.

Our next match will be on Sunday, August 24^th at Crooked Creek in Hartsgrove. Setup will be on Saturday, August 23^rd starting at 1:30 PM. You can shoot one gun after setup. And we will continue the practice of running one classifier each match. Now, you don't have any reason not to be classified before that big match.

Signups for Sunday start at 7:30AM. We will run two (2) squads on Sunday at 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Please arrive in time to register, gear-up and be ready to shoot. I will try to design the stages to keep us on schedule so that you don't have to wait for the second squad. The last squad will help with teardown. I would like to run more squads, or at least finish faster. We purchased four (4) target paster guns this winter. All we need is for you to help reset the stage for the next shooter. I hope the target paster guns will help.

Crooked Creek Conservation Club members: The shelter in the right side pistol bays is almost complete. We need people to paint the shelter. There should only be one more Tuesday night (start around 4:00 PM on July 15^th) work detail to finish up the shelter.
