October 9, 2005 NewsletterWhat a lousy weekend to shoot at Crooked Creek! I guess we had to PAY for all of the great weather that we had this year. We had 28 hardy souls and 6 reshoots for a total of 34 guns. Thanks very much to all who helped to set up and tear down. I want to thank everyone for their patience with doing setup on Sunday morning. I felt that it would have been a waste of time to setup and maybe have 3 or 4 people shoot on Saturday in the rain. We had two new shooters this month, Richard Marrapese and Lee Stacey. Our next match will be on Sunday, April 30th at Crooked Creek in Hartsgrove. We'll start setup at 3:30 PM on Saturday, April 29th and you can shoot one gun afterwards. Signups for Sunday start at 8:00 AM with final registration at 1:00 PM. Here is the Outdoor Schedule at Crooked Creek for 2006:
Winter Indoor Shooting Sherwin's has proposed putting up a plywood divider between the two bays. This is not acceptable due to safety concerns. I don't want to be back there pasting targets with shooters on the other side. Ed is looking in to putting up a steel divider, which would be acceptable. What I need feedback on within the next week is: Would you want to shoot at Sherwin's or at Stonewall (I-77 & SR-82 in Broadview Heights)? To use Stonewall, we would probably need 30 or more shooters to show up every month. So, please let me know what you think and any suggestions that you may have. This months Top Shooters are:
