Very light turnout this month. We won't shoot on Saturday again. We had 19 shooters and 5 re-shoots for a total of 24 guns. Thanks to all who helped to set up and tear down.

We had two new shooters this month, Joe Arp and John Custer.

The setup for our next match will be on Saturday, October 9th starting at 5:00 PM, or right after the Friends of the NRA Banquet finishes. We will only have two stages to finish setup on. Then you are welcome to shoot one gun.

Friends of the NRA Banquet

Crooked Creek Conservation Club will be hosting a Friends of the NRA banquet on October 9, 2004. Tickets are $25.00. BBQ dinner at 3:00 PM followed by the auctions. Also, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM there will be various shooting events for you to try. Sign-up from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

Events:

Pistol - timed steel targets, prizes for best score per caliber/age/sex

Rifle - 22 caliber, long rifle, stock or modified, 12 rounds, 50 feet small bore (under 30 cal.) - large bore (over 30 cal.) shotgun slug shoot

Trap/Skeet - 25 bird rounds (10am to 12) 10-bird competition (12 to 2)

Field Trial - 2 Chuckars - your dog or club furnished

Archery - 10 MacKenzie, Delta and Rhinehart targets

Rifle/Pistol Biathalon - small bore, large bore, pistol - $12.00

Trap/Skeet Biathalon - 10-bird shoots $8.00

Here's the deal. We need help running the pistol match for this event. If you wish to help on both Friday, October 8 starting at 5PM with setup and on Saturday, October 9, running the match and finishing setup (at 5:30 PM) for our Sunday match. CCPL will purchase your $25.00 Banquet ticket. Let Bill Attamante know if you are interested in helping out.
