August 8, 2004 NewsletterWell, it started out slow, but we had 43 shooters and 8 re-shoots for a total of 51 guns. Thanks to all who helped to set up. Sorry I missed seeing you, but I was busy with the CCW class. And thanks to the tear down crew of Bob Kataja, Kevin Dale, Michael Martin, Ed Henry, Bill Attamante and Bud Connolly. At least that's all of the people I remember hanging around after the last piece of steel went into the shed. We had three new shooters this month, Cliff Hiltz, Edward Kay and Terry Reckart. Cliff liked it so much he shot twice! The setup for our next match will be on Saturday, August 28th starting at 2:00 PM. Then you are welcome to shoot one gun. This is great if you have plans for Sunday morning. And remember, the more help we get, the sooner we get done and go to dinner. Here's the remaining schedule for this summer at Crooked Creek.
If you have any Revolver friendly stages, get them to me ASAP, or e-mail them to me. I will use the best submitted, or come up with some of my own brand of foolishness, at the Annual Revolver match on August 29th. Crooked Creek Conservation Club will be hosting a Friends of the NRA banquet on October 9, 2004. Tickets are $25.00. Also, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM there will be various shooting events for you to try. There will be rifle, pistol, Trap, Skeet, something called Chuckers? and archery events for $5.00 each or any three for $12.00. Stay tuned for updated information as I get it. And keep that date open, we will be setting up our regular match afterwards. This months Top Shooters are:
